Small group of volunteers will be needed at 10 am for setup- Rowers - unload and position ergs, Parents set up tables, etc. Event begins at 11 am - 3 pm out by 5pm. (Event Day schedule below). Thank you!
Rowers & Parents
Thank you for participating in our 10th Annual Erg A Thon on Sunday February 27th! The Poughkeepsie Galleria is great
to work with. We have received donations from some great stores – so please shop there throughout the year. Thank them
for their donation to the crew club – they like to hear the feedback!
Money will also be collected up to the at the Parent Meeting on Wednesday March 9th. Please let Trudi (Erg Chair) or
Rae (Club Treasurer) know if you have additional monies coming in.
Checks should be made out to WCC. Please put rower name in memo line. Or if you can collect all the monies and write
one check to WCC. Please put the Pledge Sheet & Checks in a sealed envelope. Put your name on the OUTSIDE of the
envelope and bring to event.
How to Sign Up Please visit www.signupgenius.com/go/20F054CABAE2CABFE3-ergathon for rowers and parents to sign up for a 2 hour slot. Any questions email [email protected]
Parent Rowers – There is a $10 Donation fee to enter. The fasted 500M Male/Female time will win a prize. Sign up for a slot on-line. Parents that enter will be filling in between rowers during the event.
Parent Volunteers - sign up for the same two hour slots as your rower. Any questions email [email protected]
Rowing event begins at 10am.
What to Wear
Varsity – any team apparel that you may have (tshirts, sweatshirts, uni under t-shirts) If you do
not wear your Uni uniform, wear spandex shorts with tshirt for rowing.
Novice – please wear spandex shorts, pants, capris – so they won’t get caught in the tracks of the ergs. Wear school
shirts of your home school – we realize that you don’t yet have team gear yet.
Both - Bring plenty of water. Bring your smiles & team spirit! Be comfortable and have fun. Remember that you
are representing the team and your schools, code of conduct applies.
Days Events
10am – 11am - VOLUNTEERS to set up including Ergs and Raffle Tables, pick up balloons.
11am – 3 pm Rowers row and have fun
Parents and Rowers sell raffle tickets. Share information about the club and rowing
Rowers - COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS WILL BE GIVEN.
3:00 pm Start pulling raffle winners, call winners, distribute prizes, start breakdown
4:00 pm End of another great event

Every participant is expected to be respectful of each other and mall property. WCC Code of Ethics applies.

- Sign In & get a name tag
- Give your pledge sheet and money envelopes to the assigned person
- There will be rope buckets under the sign in table for your bags
You will receive
- Erg Assignment
- Make sure to mark the start and end distance (required) and time (if you are curious)
- You are not required to erg all the meters at once!!! Pace yourself,
We will be keeping track of
- Individual erg distance
- Each erg distance per hour
- Total distance (of all the ergs) per hour and
- Total meters erged for the event and
- Number of rowers participating
