Boys 4- Coxswain Antonio Gragnaniello, Ken Mauer, Joe Morgan, Aidan Simonetti, and Brandon Vazquez
As a program as a whole, it's great to have this be the second year in a row that both teams won the Dutchess Cup Championships. Its a great sign of how far this program has come, and how much hard work is put in by both teams. Coach Kenny Anderson and I couldn't be prouder.
For the boys side, its amazing to that this is our third win in a row. It's extremely tough to repeat a victory let alone win it three years in a row. It wasn't our prettiest or most dominant, but it is a special one because it was the most hard fought victory, Being one of the largest teams doesn't mean you are automatically going to win, you need to be able to be consistent and competitive across the board, To have been able to be this competitive for so many years now, with rowers leaving and new ones coming in, it truly is a testament to how hard these kids work.

Hudson Valley Rowing League.
Under a new format the Wappingers Boy team won the boys championship. We won the boys four grand final and the lightweight four heat 1 and final. Our boys 8 also came in 3rd in their heat and 4th in the final. Us and Suffer were the only teams who qualified for finals in all three categories on the boys side.
The boys four lineup was Coxswain Ally Spath, Matt Reilly, Baltazar Castillo-Varda, Jon Costa, and John Mascia. Our lightweight 4 lineup was Coxswain Nick Bukofsky, Dan Sweeney, Eric Kulkarni, Anthony D'Amico, and Mike Richardson.
I'm extremely proud of the performance of all of our crews today and all season. We were able to prove again that we are the deepest and most competitive team in the league. Not all large teams are able to compete top to bottom, but the work that these kids put in allows us to compete in every category. Even after winning the league championship for our division last year, this one was a little more special because it was harder earned. We have a younger team who wanted to prove themselves this year. Also, there are a lot more competitive boats being developed across the league. This just made it more special to repeat as champions.
On the girls side our girls Lightweight 4 won their 4 and came in 3rd in their final. Also, our girls 4 qualified for the final, finishing 6th.
